Award–winning designer Vicki von Holzhausen began her career in the automotive
industry working for automotive brands: Audi, Mercedes–Benz, and General Motors.
During her time in the industry, she won numerous awards including an induction into
the Automotive Hall of Fame for excellence in leadership, Autoweeks’ Best in Show,
and had her work displayed at numerous international auto shows as well as the
Chicago Museum of Art.
After returning to her native Los Angeles, Vicki sought to create a lifestyle brand that
combined her design and technical expertise with her passion for sustainability to offer
products that add value to the world by solving environmental issues.
The von Holzhausen brand was launched in 2015 with the mission to make leather
extinct. The business has 2 distinct channels: an accessory collection for women and
men, focusing on leather alternatives and sustainability and a material innovation
business supplying next generation leather alternatives to Fortune 100 companies,
including ones in the automotive space.
In 2021, von Holzhausen launched Innovation Lab, an internal project with the goal of
scaling 100% plant-based, novel innovations for a variety of applications including
